RTP Volleyball League Seasons

RTP Volleyball League runs 10 week Spring and Fall sand seasons as well as a Winter indoor season.  This is an Adult (18+) bring your own team league.  Captains register their teams and then the players register to play for the league.

Spring and Fall sand seasons: Sunday, Monday and Tuesday Quads, Wednesday and Thursday 6s. Play starts at 5:30p on all nights except Sundays. Sundays start at 5p.  All teams are guaranteed 2 matches/6 sets per night.  Spring start date is approximately the first week in April and Fall is approximately the first week in August. Cost is $100/team + each player USAV membership cost $6-14.

Winter Season indoor is normally on Sundays at 8pm.  All teams are guaranteed 2 matches/6 sets per night. Winter start date in early December. Cost estimate $900/team + each player USAV membership cost $6.

RTP Volleyball League

The RTP Volleyball League (RTPVL) is a volunteer run Non-profit association established over 30 years ago. 

The primary purposes of the Association is to provide a community service by:

improving physical and social activity of the members employed in the RTP region of North Carolina in the form of participation and performance of the sport of Volleyball. RTPVL supports the sharing of information; educating and encouraging newcomers to join and participate in the Association; providing social activities for members; furthering the art, skills and enjoyment of the subject matter. The activities of the Association shall be held and maintained in the spirit of these purposes.

The Executive Board is composed of the officers elected by the general membership at the (Fall/Winter/Spring) general membership meeting.  The officers are responsible for the daily operation of the Association as described in the officers’ duties.  The order listed below indicates the order of succession to the presidency.

The following describes the duties of each of the officers:

PRESIDENT – The office of President is the primary person responsible for the business operation of the Association and presides at the regular membership meetings and the Executive Board meetings.

VICE PRESIDENT – There shall be one Vice President. He / She will have one vote on the Executive Board.  The Vice President is responsible for the performance of the President’s duties in the absence of the President. 

SECRETARY - The Secretary is responsible for maintaining the non-financial records of the Association’s operations.  The Secretary provides meeting notes of all general membership and Executive Board meetings. 

TREASURER – The Treasurer shall maintain a detailed listing of the RTPVL membership and dues records.  The Treasurer shall publish a monthly financial statement, report to the membership and publish a summary report in the Association’s newsletter.  The President or Vice-President may perform the duties of Treasurer as required.  


MEMBERS AT LARGE -There shall be two members at large whose duties shall be deemed by the President.
